I see the Big 10 bouncing back. I don't see them producing a national title team, but I see improvement.
The Big 10 schedules set up where I think we'll see three 7-win teams. Ohio State will lose at Penn State, Penn State will get caught in a trap at Michigan State, and Michigant State will lose on the road to a game they shouldn't. Probably Illinois.
Here is the conference standings and overall standings I predict.
1. Michigan State 7-1 (11-1) I think this team has huge upside. New RB and QB to break in, but Mark Dell is a beast.
2. Penn State 7-1 (11-1) Favorable schedule.
3. Ohio State 7-1 (10-2) - Will also lose to USC
4. Iowa 5-3 (8-4) Tough NC game at Iowa State.
5. Illinois 4-4 (7-5) Still hate the Zooker.
6. Minnesota 3-5 (6-6) Return 18 starters, but will lose 2 close games to coaching.
7. Wisconsin3-5 (6-6) Solid coaching, but still a year away.
8. Northwestern 3-5 (6-6) Don't have to play Michigan or Ohio State.
9. Michigan 3-5 (5-7) Hot seat for Rich.....
10. Purdue1-7 (4-8) Last year's ending was a preview of this year.
11. Indiana 1-7 (3-9)
Tie breaker goes to MSU.

Ed Thomas
Not much else to say today other than thoughts and prayers to the families and community of Ed Thomas. I was floored when I heard of the tragedy.
It's tough to make sense of it all, but I think good will come of it eventually.

Dog days of summer
As we've seen close to triple digits, it is now official. The dog days of summer are here. Baseball has lost it's luster (for now). The US Open, NBA, and NHL have come and gone. Only thing to do is enjoy the heat while we have it and start talking football. I am big into projections and rankings and see myself posting a lot of random rankings about college and NFL football.
As always, feel free to comment.
